Russian missile attack on the Odesa region
Kyiv, 12 December (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russia carried out a missile attack on the Odesa region, damaging a civilian vessel in the port of Chornomorsk.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said that the Russian army carried out a missile attack on the Odesa region and that there was also a Russian attack on Odesa’s energy infrastructure last night.
Stating that today’s attack, like many previous ones, had no military purpose, Zelenskyy said that a civilian ship was damaged in the port of Chornomorsk.
Zelenskyy noted that this once again shows that the Russians are not taking the current diplomatic opportunity seriously enough and are continuing a war targeting normal life in Ukraine.
Under these conditions, Zelenskyy said it is critically important for the world to maintain the right moral compass, adding:
“At present, in Odesa and Chornomorsk, just as in cities in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, every effort is being made to protect lives. It is vital that the desire for war no longer prevails in Moscow. This depends solely on how the world responds to Russia’s actions.”
