Yeşilgöz: The defacement of the National Monument is disrespectful and unacceptable
Amsterdam, May 4 (Hibya) – Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius reacted to the defacement of the National Monument in Dam Square, stating that the incident, especially taking place on Remembrance Day, caused great sorrow.

Yeşilgöz described the incident as “very intense sorrow” and criticized the damage to the monument, especially on a day when the dead and those who lost their lives for freedom are commemorated. The minister described the situation as “completely disrespectful and unacceptable.”
Yeşilgöz stated that the attack on the National Monument was a serious disrespect to the meaning of Remembrance Day and social values.
