Von der Leyen said that Canada’s participation in the European Political Community Summit clearly reflects the close cooperation and shared vision between the two sides.

Noting that cooperation in trade, critical raw materials, and defense is expanding rapidly, Von der Leyen stated that the strategic partnership between Canada and Europe is deepening day by day.

She also thanked Canada for its support to Ukraine and highlighted the country’s important contribution to joint efforts aimed at returning abducted children to their homeland.
