An International Mini Football Tournament to be held in Burgas
Burgas, March 20 (Hibya) - An international mini football tournament will be held in Bulgaria’s Burgas region between June 5–7, 2026 to support children under 18 of Ministry of Interior personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
An international mini football tournament will be held in the Burgas region of Bulgaria between June 5–7, 2026 to support children under 18 of Ministry of Interior personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. The tournament will take place at the Slaveykov Sports Center in Burgas.
The event is organized by SFK Sveti Nikola, with support from IPA Burgas Region, Burgas Municipality, the Bulgarian Football Union Burgas Referee Committee, and other institutions. Hibya News Agency is the media sponsor.
Only personnel from the Ministry of Interior and affiliated security units will be allowed to participate. Professional footballers will not be permitted. Teams will consist of a maximum of 11 players, and matches will be played in a 5+1 format.
Each team will pay a participation fee of at least 150 euros under a donation agreement. All proceeds will be transferred to the legal guardians of the children of the deceased personnel. Applications can be submitted via email until May 27, 2026.
At the end of the tournament, winning teams will be awarded trophies and medals, along with fair play and participation awards.
