Wong sends condolences and support to Nepal
Canberra, August 28 (Hibya) - Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong met with Nepalese Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and extended her condolences to the people of Nepal following flash floods and landslides.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said in a statement that she met with Nepalese Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and conveyed Australia’s deepest condolences and support to the people of Nepal.
Wong said Australia was ready to provide additional humanitarian assistance, including support for rescue and recovery efforts, as work continued to determine the status of missing persons.
