UN Secretary-General Guterres highlights the importance of human rights
New York, 10 December (Hibya) – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres emphasized the importance of protecting human rights.
Guterres stated that protecting the most vulnerable, refusing to look the other way, and supporting institutions that defend our rights are what keep human rights alive.
He stressed that rights should never be overshadowed by the pursuit of profit or power and called on the international community to unite in defending the dignity and freedom of all people.
