Palestinian Foreign Minister Shaheen in Nairobi
Nairobi, December 11 (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Farsin Aghabekian Shaheen, led the delegation of the State of Palestine at the high-level segment of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7), held at the United Nations headquarters in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
According to the ministry’s statement, Foreign Minister Shaheen headed the delegation of the State of Palestine at the high-level segment of UNEA-7.
The meeting was attended by the President of Kenya, along with numerous heads of state, ministers, and senior international officials.
Shaheen delivered a speech on behalf of the State of Palestine, emphasizing that environmental protection is an existential necessity for peoples, human rights, and sustainable development.
The minister referred to the attacks on the Gaza Strip and the widespread destruction they caused, calling for urgent international intervention to address the serious environmental and health impacts.
