Ukrainian President Zelensky discusses support for Ukraine with Starmer
Evian, 16 June (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during the meeting they discussed the United Kingdom’s new decisions in support of Ukraine and new sanctions steps targeting Russia’s “shadow fleet”, thanking them for these measures.
Zelensky said he informed Starmer about the consequences of recent Russian attacks, and noted that the parties assessed the possible contribution of the United Kingdom to the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
It was also reported that the meeting covered the implementation of agreements reached at the G7–Ukraine meeting, areas where pressure on Russia could be increased, and steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
