In a statement, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said that Russia had launched attacks on Kyiv since the early morning hours, including the use of jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the statement, civilian and critical infrastructure, including pharmaceutical facilities, fuel stations, railways, communication networks and shopping centers, were targeted in the attacks. Shaiba, one of the examples of Kyiv modernism designed by architect Alla Anishchenko in 1973, was also reported to be among the damaged structures.
