Radman: We reaffirmed the strong partnership between Croatia and the US
New York, September 23 (Hibya) - Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman announced that during his meeting with U.S. House of Representatives member Joe Wilson on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, they reaffirmed the partnership between the two countries and their commitment to transatlantic security.
Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman said his meeting with U.S. House of Representatives member Joe Wilson in New York was highly productive and that issues concerning bilateral relations and regional security were discussed.
Grlic Radman said the meeting addressed further strengthening bilateral cooperation, as well as close cooperation and coordination between the United States and Croatia across Southeast Europe. He added that U.S. support for NATO's southeastern flank and the region's long-term stability were also discussed.
Grlic Radman said Croatia's OECD membership was also discussed, adding, “We also discussed the importance of a stable and functional Bosnia and Herzegovina based on the full equality of its three constituent peoples.”
Grlic Radman said they exchanged views on the current situation in the Western Balkans and expressed appreciation for Wilson's close attention to developments in the region and the concerns he raised.
