Lavrov and Rubio discussed bilateral and international issues in New York
New York, September 23 (Hibya) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met during the High-Level Week events held as part of the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers, as a continuation of recent high-level contacts, held an extensive exchange of views on various bilateral and international issues.
The meeting also addressed the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, while Lavrov drew attention to the close coordination between the Kyiv administration and its European supporters.
The parties were reported to have discussed in detail actions, including attacks on civilians and cross-border infrastructure, which the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement attributed to Kyiv and said were destabilizing global energy markets.
