U.S. President Donald Trump said he will invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the White House.

Highlighting the historic significance of the meeting, Trump said: “In addition to the statement just released, I will invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the White House for the first meaningful talks between Israel and Lebanon since 1983, which is a very long time.”

Sharing his expectations for the peace process, Trump added: “Both sides want peace, and I believe it will happen quickly!”
