Pakistan Foreign Minister Dar to visit the United Kingdom
Islamabad, August 23 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will pay an official visit to the United Kingdom from August 24 to 28.
As part of the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, meetings are planned with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, Minister of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) responsible for Pakistan Stephen Doughty, as well as senior officials of the British government.
Dar will also discuss with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization the situation of Pakistani crew members being held by Somali pirates aboard the oil tanker MT Honour 25.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is also expected to meet Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and hold talks with British parliamentarians and representatives of the Pakistani-origin community in the United Kingdom.
