One Portuguese national dies after boat sinks off Croatia
Lisbon, August 14 (Hibya) - Portugal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that two citizens aboard a boat that sank off the Croatian coast were rescued alive, one person died, and search and rescue operations are continuing for another Portuguese national.
Portuguese Foreign Minister Rangel thanked Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman for the efforts to rescue Portuguese nationals aboard the boat that sank off the coast of Croatia.
In a statement by Portugal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that two Portuguese nationals in the group were rescued alive as a result of efforts by the Croatian authorities.
The statement said one Portuguese national had died and conveyed condolences to the person's family and loved ones.
It was noted that Croatian authorities were continuing search and rescue operations to locate the last missing Portuguese national, and that the efforts were being carried out in close contact with the Portuguese Embassy and the Portuguese government.
