Netanyahu: The sacrifices of Shahar and Ohad will remain in our hearts
Tel Aviv, June 6 (Hibya) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a condolence message for two Israeli soldiers who lost their lives during military operations in Lebanon and extended his sympathies to their families and loved ones.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he learned with great sorrow of the deaths of Egoz Commando Captain Shahar Gamla and Givati Brigade fighter Sergeant Ohad Yaari during clashes in southern Lebanon.
Referring to the soldiers' roles in the operations and their efforts, Netanyahu stated: "This evening, we learned with deep sorrow of the death of the late Egoz commando Captain Shahar Gamla, who was seriously wounded in combat in Lebanon and passed away this morning from his injuries, and of the late Givati fighter Sergeant Ohad Yaari, who fell during operational activity in southern Lebanon."
Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized that the memory of the fallen soldiers would be preserved, saying: "The late Shahar and Ohad were among our most precious sons. They fought with great heroism to protect the northern communities and the citizens of Israel, and their sacrifice and courage will forever remain in our hearts."
