Netanyahu met at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem with Katzrin Local Council Head Yehuda Dua and Golan Regional Council Head Uri Kellner.

The meeting took place ahead of a cabinet session addressing plans to boost demographic growth and development in the Katzrin and Golan regions.

During the meeting, Netanyahu emphasized the strategic importance of the Golan for Israel, arguing that debates over the region’s status have ended.

Netanyahu stated, “There will be no withdrawal from the Golan. Not only will the Golan remain in Israel, but this is no longer even a subject of debate. The Israeli government and people stand with the Golan.”

He also referred to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan, noting that a comprehensive development process will be launched in the region.

Katzrin Local Council Head Yehuda Dua said that 3,000 new housing units are planned to accommodate 3,000 families, along with strengthening academic and healthcare infrastructure.

Golan Regional Council Head Uri Kellner added that the Golan’s strategic role as Israel’s northern defense line is being reinforced and thanked the government for its efforts in the region.
