EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas assessed current global developments and the situation in Ukraine.

Emphasizing uncertainty, Kallas said: “The key word of this year has been unpredictability. This is what we are experiencing now. But at this moment, it is important to refocus our efforts on stopping the war in Ukraine.”

Speaking on the situation in Ukraine, Kallas added: “Russia is increasing its attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, especially during a harsh winter.”
