Jetten: Curaçao’s development and cooperation are on our agenda
Willemstad, May 14 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten stated during his visit to Curaçao that regional cooperation, geopolitical developments, and economic issues were discussed, emphasizing the importance of coordination between countries.
Dutch Prime Minister Jetten held meetings in Curaçao as part of an official visit.
Jetten stated that Curaçao was developing and “flourishing and growing,” adding that he was warmly welcomed by the island’s administration at the final stop of his visit. During the visit, Jetten met with Curaçao Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas and also held discussions with relevant parliamentary units and representatives of the council of ministers.
Jetten said that current political and economic issues were discussed during the meetings, particularly geopolitical tensions in the region and their impact on the cost of living.
It was also stated that administrative cooperation and coordination mechanisms within the Kingdom were brought to the agenda between the parties. In this context, the intention to establish a regular consultation platform among the four countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands was discussed.
Jetten emphasized that such meetings aim to strengthen cooperation between countries and increase joint steps to improve citizens’ living conditions.
