Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the European leaders who approved the European Union's (EU) 21st sanctions package against Russia.

Zelensky stated, “It is crucial to maintain pressure on Russia because of the war it started and refuses to end. This package contains strong measures to limit Russia’s revenues, including proposals put forward by Ukraine that have been taken into account.”

Emphasizing the importance of preserving unity, Zelensky said, “We expect work on the 22nd sanctions package to move forward actively and to introduce additional restrictions that will contribute to peace and further limit Russia’s ability to continue the war.”
