Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding global security dynamics and recent diplomatic developments in the region.

Referring to the humanitarian and technical importance of the ceasefire, Zelensky said: "A ceasefire is the right decision that leads to ending the war. This means saving lives, stopping the destruction of cities and villages, and allowing power plants and other infrastructure to function normally."

Reiterating Ukraine’s stance on peace and his call to Russia, Zelensky stated: "Ukraine has always called for a ceasefire in the war that Russia is waging against our state and our people here in Europe, and we support the ceasefire in the Middle East and the Gulf that opens the way for diplomatic efforts."

Emphasizing the importance of the United States taking action, Zelensky said: "It is obvious to everyone that a ceasefire can create the right preconditions for agreements. Various countries are involved in the negotiation process, and it is important that the United States takes this diplomatic step."

Zelensky concluded his statement by saying: "In recent weeks, Ukraine has helped protect lives in the Middle East and the Gulf. Ukraine will continue to work constructively with all partners."
