Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made statements on Russia’s recruitment of military personnel and its military cooperation with North Korea.

Zelensky said Russia is increasing the number of people it recruits through various methods and that Moscow also plans to increase the participation of foreign nationals in its military. Zelensky said it is important for the governments of countries from which Russia recruits military personnel to take action in response to the situation.

Saying they have new data on North Korean troops, Zelensky stated: “There are currently more than 8,000 North Korean troops on Russian territory. Preparations are also underway to deploy another 10,000 troops; these soldiers are being selected for training and then to be sent to Russia.”

Zelensky also said Russia is providing technological support to North Korea, stating: “With Russia’s technical support, production of Shahed-type attack drones has been established in North Korea. This is how evil spreads, and a threat to life in one part of the world is carried to other regions. We can overcome this only together.”
