French President Emmanuel Macron made a statement on Russia’s attacks against Ukraine.

Macron said the Russian leadership had targeted Ukraine’s largest scientific research institution, stating: “Vladimir Putin’s regime attacked Ukraine’s largest scientific research institution, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.”

Macron argued that the attacks once again demonstrated the Russian leadership’s hostile attitude toward science and truth, saying: “These attacks add to the barbarity of the daily strikes targeting Ukrainian civilians.”

Macron said: “We share the pain of the victims and their families. France and Europe will continue to stand with the Ukrainian people, who are resisting with courage, for as long as necessary.”
