Yeşilgöz-Zegerius: Our soldiers are ready if needed
Amsterdam, May 8 (Hibya) - Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius announced that military medical teams were deployed following a hantavirus case detected on the cruise ship Hondius and that efforts are ongoing to ensure the crew’s safe return.
Yeşilgöz-Zegerius stated that soldiers are ready for duty when necessary and announced that support had been provided to a cruise ship due to a situation requiring medical intervention.
The statement noted that a military doctor had been assigned following a suspected hantavirus case on the ship named Hondius. It was also stated that the process was being carried out in coordination with the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, RIVM.
Authorities reported that efforts are continuing to ensure the crew’s safe return to the country and the provision of necessary medical care.
