Belgium’s message for World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day
Brussels, May 8 (Hibya) - In a statement issued on the occasion of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, Belgium thanked volunteers and personnel working in disasters, conflicts and humanitarian crises.

The statement noted solidarity with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and national societies around the world.
The Belgian administration stated that it appreciates the efforts of all volunteers and personnel helping people affected by disasters, armed conflicts, health problems and social crises. The statement also highlighted that many workers continue humanitarian aid activities while risking their own safety.
