WTO Ministerial Conference talks continue
Yaounde, March 28 (Hibya) - The 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) is ongoing in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon.
According to CCTV, the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization is being held in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon.
At the meeting, economy and trade ministers from around the world, along with representatives of international organizations, gathered to discuss current issues in global trade.
Cameroon’s Minister of Trade Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana emphasized in his opening speech his country’s commitment to promoting fair, open, and inclusive trade.
The main agenda items of the conference include the WTO reform process and enhancing its capacity to adapt to global economic changes.
WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala also pointed to the pressure that ongoing conflicts place on global trade and stressed that members should take joint steps to build a more resilient trading system.
