Sybiha: I welcome the release of EPF funds
Kyiv, September 25 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he welcomed the agreement among EU member states that paves the way for the release of €6.6 billion in European Peace Facility (EPF) funds.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that the agreement reached among EU member states on EPF funds would increase military support, equipment and training opportunities for Ukraine.
Sybiha said, “This long-awaited agreement means more military support, equipment and training for Ukraine, while strengthening Europe’s security.”
Stating that the agreement was a timely response to Russia’s escalation, Sybiha said, “Every attempt by Russia to intimidate Europe must result in exactly the opposite of what Moscow intends — namely, a stronger Ukraine and a stronger Europe.”
Sybiha thanked EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and all EU member states for increasing support for Ukraine.
