Political consultation mechanism established between Pakistan and Benin
Islamabad, September 25 (Hibya) – Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Benin's Foreign Minister Corinne Amori Brunet.
According to a statement from Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar and Brunet met in New York on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Benin was signed. The agreement established a mechanism for regular dialogue and consultations between the two countries.
The parties were reported to have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of economic and trade cooperation, and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
