Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif commented on the change of government in Iraq and the new appointment.

Extending his congratulations to Ali al-Zaidi, Sharif said: “I congratulate Mr. Ali al-Zaidi on his appointment as Prime Minister of Iraq. I extend my sincere best wishes to him as he assumes this important position.”

Referring to expectations of cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister Sharif stated: “Pakistan looks forward to working closely with the new government of Iraq to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance our shared aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.”
