Sandu: We speak our language freely and will pass it on to our children
Chisinau, August 31 (Hibya) - Moldovan President Maia Sandu announced that thousands of people participated in a national dictation event held in the central square of Chisinau as part of Romanian Language Day events in the country.
Moldovan President Sandu made a statement on her social media account on the occasion of Romanian Language Day.
Sandu said thousands of people gathered in the central square of Chisinau and took part in the national dictation event.
The Moldovan president said their elders had kept their language alive during periods of bans and fear, adding, “Now we speak it freely and we will pass it on to our children.”
