Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed with official ceremony in Kyrgyzstan
Beijing, August 31 (Hibya) - Chinese President Xi Jinping was welcomed by President Sadyr Japarov with an official ceremony in Bishkek, where he is visiting to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the welcoming ceremony held in Bishkek by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
According to CCTV, Xi's official vehicle arrived at the Presidential Administration building, Yntymak Ordo, escorted by a cavalry unit. Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan were welcomed there by Sadyr Japarov and his wife Aigül Japarova.
At the ceremony, the national anthems of China and Kyrgyzstan were performed by a military band. Xi and Japarov greeted Kyrgyzstan's guard of honor and watched its parade.
The two leaders and their spouses posed for a photograph in front of the flags of the two countries.
Xi Jinping arrived in Bishkek on Sunday to attend the SCO's 2026 Summit and pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan at Japarov's invitation. The visit marks Xi's first state visit to Kyrgyzstan in seven years.
