Russia and Ukraine exchange 193 prisoners each
Moscow, April 25 (Hibya) - Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that Russia and Ukraine carried out a mutual exchange of 193 prisoners on Friday.
According to CCTV, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 193 Russian soldiers were returned from areas under Kyiv’s control, while 193 Ukrainian soldiers were handed over in return.
The released Russian soldiers received medical and psychological support in Belarus and will then be transferred to Russia for rehabilitation.
It was noted that the exchange process was carried out with the humanitarian mediation of the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed the operation, stating that those returned included wounded individuals and persons facing legal charges.
