Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel spoke by phone with Peruvian Foreign Minister Carlos Espa.

According to a statement from Portugal's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State, Rangel congratulated Espa on his appointment to his new position. The conversation addressed political and economic relations between the two countries, as well as cooperation on multilateral and Ibero-American platforms.

The parties agreed to hold bilateral visits and political consultations and reached an understanding on prioritizing cooperation between ports, particularly the ports of Callao and Sines.
