Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic Radman issued a message on the occasion of the historic competition held in the city of Sinj, reflecting on his visits in the city and the historical significance of the Sinjska Alka tradition.

Congratulating the winner of the competition and the participants, Radman said, "Congratulations to Tin Radanovic, winner of the 311th Sinjska Alka! I also congratulate all the young Alkars for their courage and knightly competition, as well as everyone who took part in the organization."

Referring to his visits to local authorities and churches as part of his program, Radman said, "On this occasion, together with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, I visited the Mayor of Trilj, Ivan Bugarin. I then met with Alkar Duke Marij Susnjar, standard-bearer Marijan Pavlinusic, Alkar harambasa Pavle Krizanec, former Alkar harambasa Ivo Vukasovic and alajcaus Ivica Filipovic Grcic. We also visited the Church of Our Miraculous Lady of Sinj and the new Chapel of St. Francis of Assisi."

Highlighting the figures he hosted during his engagements, Radman said, "On this occasion, I am pleased to welcome Borjana Kristo and Dragan Covic."

Emphasizing the historical background of the tradition, Radman concluded his statement by saying, "For centuries, the Sinjska Alka has kept alive the memory of the glorious defense of Sinj, whose defenders protected the city by defeating the Ottoman army in 1715. It is our duty to preserve the memory of their courage, keep this unique tradition alive and pass it on to future generations."
