Plenkovic: We support the development of the Neretva Valley
Zagreb, August 8 (Hibya) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic held a working meeting in Metkovic with local officials from the Neretva Valley. Investments in the region’s infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, social services and education were discussed at the meeting.
In Metkovic, Plenkovic met with Dubrovnik-Neretva County Prefect Blaz Pezo, Metkovic Mayor Dalibor Milan, Ploce Mayor Ivan Marevic, Opuzen Mayor Ivan Mataga and officials from municipalities in the Neretva Valley.
The meeting reviewed the completion of the region’s agglomeration project, irrigation of the Lower Neretva, connecting Metkovic to Croatia’s motorway network and other development projects.
Plenkovic said the Croatian government strongly supports the development of local administrations in the Neretva Valley and Dubrovnik-Neretva County, stating, “We will continue to carry out investments that strengthen the economy, modernize healthcare, social services and education infrastructure, and develop agriculture and tourism in the south.”
Plenkovic said investments that will contribute to the region’s development would continue in partnership with Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
