Pezeshkian: We will respond to any attack
Tehran, December 31 (Hibya) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that any attack against his country would be met with a strong response, in reaction to military intervention threats by U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to CCTV, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday that following U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat of military action, his country would respond resolutely to any aggression.
Referring to Trump’s remarks suggesting a possible military strike if Iran continues its ballistic missile or nuclear weapons programs, Pezeshkian said, “Iran’s response to any aggression will be harsh and regrettable.”
Trump said, “I hear Iran is trying to rebuild, and if that is the case, we will have to stop them,” signaling that military options remain on the table.
Relations between the two countries have remained tense since June following a series of attacks. After Israeli airstrikes on June 13 targeting nuclear and military sites in Iran, U.S. forces struck nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.
