Petro and Sanchez highlight democracy and economy agenda
Antalya, April 17 (Hibya) - Colombian President Gustavo Petro discussed global democracy, economic relations, and the impact of progressive policies during his meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
President Petro met with Prime Minister Sanchez to assess threats to global democracy and economic relations between the two countries.
The meeting addressed strengthening economic cooperation between Spain and Colombia and increasing investment relations.
Petro noted that Spain has become the second-largest investor in Colombia. He also emphasized that progressive economic policies in Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and Colombia support growth, reduce social inequality, and make significant progress in combating poverty.
It was reported that the parties exchanged views on the global economic order and the protection of democratic values.
