Netanyahu: Israel is acting against threats in Lebanon and Gaza
Jerusalem, August 15 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the ceasefire in Lebanon had been violated by Hezbollah and that three Israeli soldiers were seriously wounded in the attack. Netanyahu said the Israeli army struck a Hezbollah command center following the attack.
Netanyahu said the Hezbollah attack targeted Israeli soldiers inside the yellow line and stated that the terrorist command center from which the attack was ordered was targeted. Netanyahu claimed that civilians were present in the center as human shields in an attempt to enable false accusations that Israel deliberately targets civilians.
Netanyahu said the Israeli army was acting in line with the policy of the political leadership and stated that operations would continue to eliminate threats against Israeli soldiers and citizens in Lebanon and Gaza.
Netanyahu wished the Israeli soldiers wounded in the attack a speedy recovery and said, “The State of Israel will not tolerate any attack on its soldiers and will act forcefully against any threat.”
