European Parliament President Roberta Metsola issued a statement on strengthening the European Chemicals Agency.

Metsola said that the agreement to strengthen the agency's governance and funding structure will ensure safer products and stronger protection against harmful chemicals across Europe.

Emphasizing that the agreement marks an important step, Metsola thanked the Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, the rapporteur, the European Parliament team, as well as the Council of the European Union and the rotating presidency for their contributions to the process.
