Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns settlement plans in Area A
Ramallah, June 30 (Hibya) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned a dangerous settlement plan backed by ministers within the Israeli occupation authorities, including the so-called "Settlement Farms Union."
According to a statement issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, it strongly condemned a dangerous settlement plan led by militias and what it described as terrorist settler organizations, including the so-called "Settlement Farms Union," with the backing of ministers in the Israeli occupation authorities.
As reported by the media, the plan aims to establish and consolidate settler presence at approximately 100 locations in Area A of the occupied West Bank.
The ministry stated that this constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a clear breach of signed agreements, describing it as a systematic war crime intended to impose new realities by force on the occupied Palestinian territories and undermine the foundations of security, stability, and the implementation of the two-state solution.
It added that Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, and that all forms of occupation and settlement are illegitimate and constitute crimes under international law, international agreements, and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The ministry further stated that the continuation of Israel's illegal occupation and colonial settlement system is the root cause of suffering in the Middle East and one of the principal reasons for the absence of security and peace, adding that the lack of accountability encourages war criminals to continue committing their crimes.
