Macron: Working on a prosperity agenda is more important than ever
Nicosia, April 24 (Hibya) - French President Emmanuel Macron met with Middle Eastern leaders as part of the informal European Council meeting held in Cyprus.

On the sidelines of the summit, Macron met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Syrian President Ahmad El-Şara and Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah.
Emphasizing the need to work together, Macron said: “As Middle Eastern countries and our Europe suffer from the consequences of regional conflict, it is more important than ever to work together on a common agenda of sovereignty, stability and prosperity for the entire region.”
Drawing attention to the region’s economic potential and logistical importance, Macron stated: “In this context, the Middle East has the potential to become a central hub in supply routes between our two regions, benefiting our peoples and our economies.”
