Lapid: Netanyahu failed politically and strategically
Jerusalem, April 8 (Hibya) – Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the two-week ceasefire process proposed by President Trump, as well as his stance on Lebanon.
According to BBC, Lapid described the situation as a “political disaster” for Israel in a statement made after Netanyahu issued a declaration supporting Trump’s ceasefire decision.
Lapid said, “When decisions concerning the core of our national security were made, Israel was not even at the table,” arguing that the decisions were taken without Israel’s direct participation.
Criticizing Netanyahu’s strategy, Lapid stated: “The army did everything required, the public showed great resilience, but Netanyahu failed politically and strategically. He did not achieve any of the goals he had set for himself.”
