Lahbib: The EU stands by its partners in Africa
Brussels, May 22 (Hibya)- European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib emphasized the European Union’s role in global crises and its commitment to combating epidemics.
European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that an additional 15 million euros in humanitarian aid has been allocated to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda as part of the response to health crises in Africa.
Emphasizing the EU’s strategic stance and the purpose of the support provided, Lahbib stated: “As a strong and reliable global actor, the EU stands by its partners in Africa. We are allocating an additional 15 million euros in humanitarian aid to respond to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda and to support emergency operations.”
