European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib met with women representatives of civil society organizations during her visit to Lebanon.

Sharing details of the meeting, Lahbib said, “I met with strong Lebanese women from leading civil society organizations; these women are fighting for a more inclusive society for minorities, migrants, and LGBTQI+ communities.”

Emphasizing the importance of the envisioned social structure, Lahbib stated, “In this society, women, minorities, and migrants can enjoy equal rights, not face discrimination, and contribute to an inclusive society.”
