Lahbib announces air ambulance deployment for Hantavirus case
Brussels, May 10 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that action had been taken following Spain’s request under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
EU Commissioner for Equality and Crisis Management Lahbib stated that, as part of the response to the Hantavirus case detected on the MS Hondius ship, an EU air ambulance had been dispatched from Norway to Tenerife under the Civil Protection Mechanism. She said, “An EU liaison officer is on site to support local coordination.”
