Italian Prime Minister meets with the Emir of Qatar
Rome, February 6 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Milan to discuss developments in the Middle East, stability in Libya, and migration management in the Mediterranean.
Italian Prime Minister Meloni held a high-level meeting in Milan with the Emir of Qatar Al Thani. In addition to developments in the Middle East, the talks addressed the relaunch of the negotiation process between the United States and Iran, as well as joint efforts for the stability of the Gaza Strip and its future reconstruction.
Meloni stated that she “deeply appreciates” the mediation efforts that Doha is resolutely pursuing in both contexts. The meeting also emphasized full support for Libya’s stability and addressed the issue of migration management. The Prime Minister underlined “the importance of a shared commitment” in combating irregular migration and human trafficking.
