Israel targets petrochemical facility and missile infrastructure in Iran
Shiraz, April 7 (Hibya) - The Israeli army announced that it carried out large-scale strikes targeting a petrochemical facility in the Iranian city of Shiraz and ballistic missile infrastructure in the northwest.
The Israel Defense Forces announced that they carried out attacks on military and industrial targets in different regions of Iran.
According to the statement, a petrochemical facility in Shiraz was targeted. It was stated that the facility plays a role in producing chemical components used in explosives and ballistic missile development through the production of nitric acid.
The Israeli army said the strikes aimed to limit Iran’s military production capacity, noting that several major petrochemical facilities in the country had been targeted previously.
It was also reported that a large-scale facility belonging to Iran’s ballistic missile system in the northwest was struck. The statement claimed that numerous missiles had been launched from this site toward Israel.
The strikes were said to have been carried out under the direction of military intelligence units, and that military personnel were present at the targeted facilities during the operation.
