Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially recognized the Republic of Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state and signed a joint statement with the President of the Republic of Somaliland.

It was reported that the statement was signed in line with the spirit of the Abraham Accords, which were concluded at the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu congratulated Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdallah, praising his commitment to promoting stability and peace.

Prime Minister Netanyahu invited President Abdallah to pay an official visit to Israel.
