IDF: 91st Division neutralized an anti-tank unit in a mosque
Tel Aviv, April 7 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that anti-tank terrorists affiliated with Hezbollah who were positioned in a mosque in southern Lebanon were neutralized and that ground operations in the region have been expanded.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared new details about the activities of the 91st Division units in southern Lebanon in recent weeks. It was stated that the operations are focused on ensuring the security of residents in northern Israel.
The statement regarding the details of the operation included the following:
“Security forces identified terrorists belonging to an anti-tank unit of the Hezbollah terrorist organization positioned in a mosque in the area. Immediately after identification, the terrorists were neutralized and the site was destroyed to eliminate the threat. Dozens of weapons were seized as a result of the operation.”
It was also stated that in another operation carried out by the 769th Brigade, a terrorist observing the forces from a building was identified.
The IDF emphasized that the 91st Division units continue to expand ground operations in southern Lebanon, increasing their military presence and control in the region.
