Healey: UK economy is showing resilience
London, September 11 (Hibya) - UK Treasury Minister John Healey said the country’s economy recorded the fastest growth among G7 nations in the first half of the year, stating that the economy is showing resilience.
UK Defence Secretary John Healey assessed the performance of the country’s economy. Healey said economic growth remains fragile, but the UK recorded the fastest growth rate among G7 countries in the first half of the year.
Healey said the conflict in the Middle East has affected costs in the country, but despite this, the UK economy has “shown resilience.”
Healey said the government is devolving more power to local areas and supporting businesses to boost growth, stating: “To deliver growth, we are shifting power to local areas and supporting businesses.”
