EU officially designates Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization
Brussels, February 19 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola announced that the European Union has officially designated Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.
European Parliament President Metsola stated that the European Union has officially classified Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.
Metsola noted that this means there will no longer be a safe haven for those responsible for crimes committed against Iranian protesters, adding:
"It means their funds in Europe will be frozen. And it prohibits Europeans from providing them with any funding. This is the right step and the right signal. Things are no longer as they used to be."
